President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received a report on Kazatomprom's operating and financial results for 2024 and the Company's short- and medium-term plans.
Management Board Chairman Meirzhan Yussupov reported uranium production of more than 23 thousand tonnes and group sales exceeding 16.6 thousand tonnes. Consolidated revenue reached a record KZT 1.8 trillion, 26% above 2023. Adjusted net profit attributable to the parent, excluding one-off income, was approximately KZT 577 billion, up 38%. Tax payments exceeded KZT 720 billion, an increase of 58%.
The President was briefed on the global nuclear-fuel market, new uranium-supply contracts and the Ulba-FA plant reaching its design capacity of 200 tonnes of low-enriched uranium in fuel assemblies per year.
Kazatomprom's 2025–2034 strategy remains focused on expanding and efficiently using Kazakhstan's mineral-resource base. In 2024, the Company received new exploration licences for prospective areas with estimated resources of approximately 170 thousand tonnes of uranium.
The meeting also covered international cooperation and social projects. More than KZT 3.7 billion was allocated to regional development and support projects in 2024.
